[No Title]

What is it about people that drives them to read an entry on a blog and then post a comment along the lines of “What a great post, I really enjoyed reading it.  Keep up the good work.“  Are there really that many people out there who are professional ass-kissers?  Comments should be used to drive the discussion.  Yet, the more I read of comments on blogs, the more I realize that comments actual dumb down the conversation to the level of the lowest common denominator.  Not that it matters for this blog, since the author is the lowest common denominator, but overall, the blogosphere would be a better place if fewer blogs had comments.

That is, of course, the average intelligence level of the commenters on YouTube. The internet is a wonderful, terrible thing.

  • And here I thought I was the only one reading this blog any more. Guess that’ll show me.

I actually think YouTube commenters are all the same person. Some guy just wrote a bot to post inane comments to make YouTube think they were popular. Pretty good joke.
