An Experiment in Scotch

Two arrests made in the Duke Lacrosse scandal. This has become a huge story, one that maybe is get­ting more atten­tion than it should. With no con­firm­ing DNA evi­dence, it will be inter­est­ing to see how this all plays out. It’s inter­est­ing to note (for a cynic) that the DA is up for reelec­tion this year. Won­der how that played in his cal­cu­la­tions of whether to bring charges or not. It would also be inter­est­ing to see how many cases of rape are tried when the DNA evi­dence is incon­clu­sive or non-existent. Don’t we let peo­ple out of prison when that happens?
